Like a lantern, the End of Life Doula can shed some much needed light on the perceived darkness of death.

We believe that every person is unique, we will endeavour to hold space for you and your family. EOL doulas endeavour to remain present and mindful to your individual needs, wishes and goals.  StoneHedge Transitions offers emotional, physical, and spiritual support and assistance to you and your loved ones before, during and after the end of life’s greatest transition. It is our desire to give you and your loved one the best end of life experience possible.

Planning
Let us help with the planning. In this lifetime we pain stakingly plan everything from baby showers to dinner parties celebrating every finite detail. Don’t let your death go unplanned. Advance care planning involves reflecting on your wishes, values and beliefs and then talking about them with your substitute decision maker. Having these conversations before a medical crisis occurs allows time for reflection about how a serious illness may impact your health, well-being and your overall independence. Having trouble getting the conversation started, we can help.

Customized Legacy Work
Legacy work is intential. It is something that is not for you but by you, it has no respect for time or circumstance. It is a gift you leave for those you leave behind. It can be a simple act of kindness or a lifetime of memories. It is as simple or complex as you chose. It may open doors to the past and its meaning may
be felt long after you have departed.

Vigilling
EOL Doulas can provide on going emotional and spiritual support, basic non-medical care, explain distressing symptoms and can act as a link to other resources during this process.
Life Beyond Loss
Assistance in Post Death planning can bring a sense of tranquility to a person facing a life limiting illness. We can help families develop plans, arrangements and honour wishes as this most overwhelming time.  Grief and grieving is a highly individual experience, there’s no right or wrong way to grieve. How you grieve is multifactorial including faith, culture, your life experience, coping mechanisms and your personality. There is no time line and there is no “normal” for the grieving process.  We have experience and can help you find the resources that may prove beneficial to your experience.
Our Faithful Companions: End of Life Care for your Pet
I’ve had the pleasure of living with many dogs over my lifetime, and have been incredibly grateful to have had the choice of euthanasia when it was clear their bad days outweighed their good. I believe that our dogs are a gift, each one being sent to us to grant us several lessons throughout their lives. Giving them a dignified ending is our last gift to them. Do you have an end of life plan for your furry loved one? Should you require assistance with arrangements for your pet, I would be honoured to you  create a plan for your furry friend.
